We are looking for a highly experienced Sr. Design Engineer Power Electronics with 25+ years of overall experience, including at least 15 years of experience in Digital Power Conversion.

The candidate should possess strong hands-on expertise in the design and development of 15 kW Power Conversion Systems and should have successfully handled projects from inception and system architecture through design, prototyping, validation and production.

The role requires deep technical expertise in Power Electronics, Digital Control, High-Frequency Switching, Magnetics and Power Conversion Topologies, along with the ability to build and lead a high-performing engineering team.

Role & responsibilities

- Lead the complete development lifecycle of Power Electronics projects from concept/inception design prototype testing/validation production.
- Design and develop 15 kW Digital Power Conversion Systems.
- Develop and optimize AC-DC, DC-DC and DC-AC power conversion systems.
- Provide technical expertise in selection and application of power electronic components.
- Design and optimize high-frequency switching circuits and power stages.
- Design and review magnetics, including high-frequency transformers and inductors.
- Develop and optimize digital control systems involving:
- Digital control algorithms.
- Control loops and compensation.
- Digital filters.
- ADC interfaces.
- MCU/DSP integration.
- Digital PWM and feedback systems.

- Evaluate and select suitable power conversion topologies based on system requirements.
- Lead schematic design, simulation, prototype development, bring-up, debugging and validation.
- Analyze and resolve complex hardware and system-level design issues.
- Work closely with Firmware, Embedded, PCB, Mechanical, Thermal, Testing and Manufacturing teams.
- Drive product optimization for efficiency, reliability, performance, cost and manufacturability.




- Conduct technical design reviews and provide technical direction to the engineering team.
- Support transfer of designs from prototype to mass production.
- Build, mentor and lead the Power Electronics design team.
- Establish engineering best practices, design standards and development processes.

- Strong understanding of thermal management and EMI/EMC considerations.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex power electronics hardware and system-level issues.

- Proven experience in handling Power Electronics projects from inception to production.

Education:

Bachelor's or Masters degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics or a related discipline.
