Role Overview:

We are looking for a Principal Engineer with deep technical expertise and leadership skills to drive innovation and delivery in payment systems and OS-level development. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Agile/Scrum practices, payment application development, and operating system components, along with knowledge of ISO7816 smart card standards and Global Platform, Java Card API.

Key Responsibilities:

- Technical Leadership:
- Define architecture and technical roadmap for payment and OS-related solutions.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices and advanced technologies.

- Agile & Scrum Management:

- Lead Scrum ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure Agile principles are followed.
- Drive continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

- Payment Application Development:

- Design and implement secure, scalable payment applications.

- Operating System Expertise:

- Work on OS-level components, performance tuning, and low-level optimizations.
- Collaborate on embedded system development when required.

- Smart Card & Security Standards:

- Implement and maintain solutions adhering to ISO7816 standards for smart cards.
- Develop and integrate applications using Global Platform, Java Card API for Smart Cards.

- Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Partner with product Owners,



architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical features.
- Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs effectively to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering, or related field.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum facilitation and team leadership.
- Expertise in payment application development, security standards, and compliance.
- Deep understanding of operating systems, system architecture, and performance optimization.

- Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in programming languages (Java, C/C++/C#, Python).
- Good to have Knowledge of ISO7816, GlobalPlatform, Java Card API, and smart card technologies.
- Positive to have Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certifications in Agile (Scrum Master, SAFe)
- Experience with Java card/POS development and cryptographic protocols
