Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Partner Project Manager to manage the end-to-end delivery of AWS projects in collaboration with the AWS Professional Services team.

The Partner Project Manager will be the day-to-day delivery owner, responsible for project execution, delivery cadence, resource and capacity management, project quality, financial tracking, stakeholder coordination, and team performance.

The role will work closely with the AWS ProServe Engagement Manager (EM) and Technical Leads. While the AWS EM owns overall engagement governance, executive escalation, commercial relationships, and contract ownership, the Partner Project Manager will own the daily operating rhythm and delivery execution.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Management

- Own end-to-end day-to-day project delivery.
- Ensure committed outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and with the expected quality.
- Coordinate AWS and partner teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Track project progress, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.

Agile & Scrum Management

- Act as the Scrum Master and delivery lead.
- Run backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
- Monitor team velocity, flow, productivity, and delivery predictability.
- Identify and remove delivery impediments.

Resource & Capacity Management

- Plan and manage resource allocation, utilization, and capacity.
- Coordinate with the Partner Resource Manager for staffing requirements.
- Manage team ramp-up and roll-off activities.
- Identify staffing gaps and resolve resource constraints.





Customer & Stakeholder Management

- Act as the primary day-to-day delivery contact for customer delivery stakeholders.
- Maintain robust working relationships with customer teams.
- Coordinate delivery reviews and status meetings.
- Manage expectations and communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and issues.

Project Quality

- Own delivery quality across the entire project.
- Establish and enforce Definition of Done and quality gates.
- Drive defect prevention and remediation.
- Ensure project deliverables meet agreed standards and acceptance criteria.

Scope & Delivery Management

- Work closely with AWS EM and Technical Leads to manage scope and delivery commitments.
- Track changes, dependencies, risks, and assumptions.
- Ensure alignment between technical delivery and committed project scope.
- Escalate issues based on defined governance thresholds.

Financial & Project Tracking

- Track project financials, budget, utilization, and delivery performance.
- Monitor project progress against approved scope, schedule, and budget.
- Provide accurate delivery and financial reporting to AWS EM and stakeholders.

Reporting & Governance

- Prepare weekly and periodic project status reports.
- Track project KPIs, milestones, risks, issues, actions, and dependencies.
- Maintain project plans, RAID logs, action trackers, and governance documentation.




- Support governance reviews with AWS ProServe leadership and customer stakeholders.

Standard Project Management Responsibilities

- Manage the complete project lifecycle from initiation through closure.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans.
- Define milestones, dependencies, schedules, and deliverables.
- Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure timely decision-making and escalation.
- Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes.

Required Skills

- 5 to 10 years of experience in Project Management / Program Delivery.
- Mandatory PMP certification.
- Strong experience managing technology / cloud projects.
- Proven experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Solid Scrum Master and delivery management experience.
- Experience managing distributed and cross-functional teams.
- Strong resource and capacity management skills.
- Experience with project financial tracking and reporting.
- Strong stakeholder and customer management skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of project governance, risks, issues, dependencies, and change management.

Preferred Experience

- Experience working with AWS Skilled Services or AWS partner organizations.
- Experience managing AWS / Cloud transformation projects.
- Experience working with technical architects, cloud engineers, DevOps teams, and specialist engineering teams.
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise customer engagements.
- Experience in customer-facing delivery leadership roles.
