Job Description: Shift Incharge (Production)

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Operations

- Plan and execute production activities as per shift production schedule.
- Monitor process parameters and ensure adherence to approved operating procedures.
- Achieve daily production targets with optimum utilization of resources.
- Ensure smooth startup, shutdown, and changeover activities.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, utility, and warehouse departments for uninterrupted operations.

2. Safety Management

- Ensure compliance with all EHS policies, SOPs, and permit-to-work systems.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings before commencement of work.
- Identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective actions.
- Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all employees and contractors.

3. Manpower Management

- Allocate manpower effectively based on production requirements.
- Supervise operators, technicians, and contract workers.
- Monitor attendance, shift deployment, and discipline.
- Coach and develop team members to enhance competence and performance.
- Conduct on-the-job training for operators.

4. Quality Assurance





- Ensure production activities comply with approved quality specifications.
- Coordinate sampling and testing with Quality Control.
- Investigate quality deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain proper documentation of batch records and production logs.

5. Equipment & Process Reliability

- Monitor equipment health and process performance.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure equipment is operated within design limits.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of process issues.

6. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain accurate shift production and operational records.
- Prepare and submit shift reports highlighting production, safety, quality, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct effective shift handover and takeover.
- Communicate critical operational issues to management promptly.
- SAP entry

7. Continuous Improvement

- Participate in cost reduction, productivity improvement, and energy-saving initiatives., TQM, 5S, and Kaizen,OPL
- Recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and safety.
