Position: Manager Legal / Senior Legal Manager

Location: Mumbai
Reporting to: General Counsel

Purpose of the Role

To support the General Counsel and business teams by delivering effective legal support across litigation and dispute resolution matters, including coordination and execution of case strategies, risk assessment, and pre-litigation advisory, with a focus on managing legal exposure and providing practical, business-aligned solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Litigation Management

- Support the management and coordination of litigation matters across forums under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Support the development and execution of litigation strategies for ongoing and new matters.
- Work closely with business teams to understand disputes and provide legal support and inputs.
- Support pre-litigation advisory, including risk assessment, settlement evaluation, and dispute avoidance strategies.
- Support coordination with external counsels to ensure timely filings, updates, and case tracking.

External Counsel Coordination

- Support coordination with external law firms for case handling and documentation.
- Support review of legal bills and ensure alignment with agreed commercials.
- Support maintenance of litigation trackers, MIS,



and documentation repositories.

Legal Advisory & Documentation

- Provide legal support on litigation-related queries from internal stakeholders.
- Support drafting and review of pleadings, notices, responses, and settlement agreements.
- Support corporate advisory work including contracts, financing documents (loan/NCD), and related documentation.

Skills & Competencies

- 8–10 years of experience in litigation and legal advisory (law firm or in-house).
- Experience in providing legal support across commercial litigation and regulatory matters.
- Strong drafting, research, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters while providing consistent legal support to stakeholders.
- Good understanding of litigation processes and court procedures.
- Commercial awareness with ability to support business-oriented legal solutions.
- Robust communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- High ownership, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
