Job Description
Civil Engineer (Survey / Access Road / Crane Pad) Wind PMC
The Civil Engineer (Survey / Access Road / Crane Pad) Wind PMC will support site-level monitoring and governance of survey verification, access infrastructure readiness, and heavy-lift workfront preparation for utility-scale wind projects. The role is responsible for ensuring that access roads, crane pads, laydown areas, turning radii, and transportation routes are prepared and released to support safe and productive turbine erection activities.
The position works closely with Construction Management, HSE, Logistics, and Mechanical Erection teams to monitor readiness and remove constraints affecting component transportation and crane operations.
Key Responsibilities
Survey & Infrastructure Verification
- Verify WTG coordinates, setting-out records, survey data, and site layout information.
- Monitor readiness of access roads, crane pads, laydown yards, turning areas, and transport routes.
- Review compaction records, levels, drainage provisions, and route clearances.
Access & Heavy-Lift Readiness
- Coordinate infrastructure readiness reviews with Logistics, HSE, and Construction teams.
- Monitor crane pad availability and readiness against erection schedules.
- Support workfront release processes for heavy component transportation and lifting activities.
Interface Management
- Coordinate observations and findings with site construction and lifting teams.
- Track constraints affecting crane mobilization and turbine erection activities.
- Escalate access-related risks impacting project schedules and productivity.
Reporting & Governance
- Maintain access-road and crane-pad readiness trackers.
- Record observations, deficiencies, and punch-list requirements.
- Support preparation of workfront handover and release documentation.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering.
Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in survey engineering, civil infrastructure, roads, crane pads, and logistics support works.
- Experience in wind, renewable energy, heavy-lift, or infrastructure projects preferred.
- Exposure to PMC, Owner's Engineer, or construction supervision roles desirable.
Certifications
- AutoCAD, STAAD, Survey QA/QC, and Construction Safety training preferred.
