Oxford University Press is seeking an experienced Area Manager, Digital Sales to drive the growth of our digital learning solutions across the assigned market. This is an exciting prospect to play a key role in advancing digital transformation within the education sector while working with one of the worlds most respected educational publishers.
This role offers the opportunity to partner with schools, educators, and decision-makers to expand the adoption of innovative digital products and services. You will be at the forefront of helping educational institutions embrace technology-enabled learning solutions, while contributing directly to the growth of our Digital Sales business.

As Area Manager, Digital Sales, you will be responsible for driving digital sales performance within your assigned territory through strategic planning, promotion, and customer engagement activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving digital sales budgets and revenue targets across the assigned market.
- Training and enabling the core sales team on digital products to help achieve digital sales objectives.
- Conducting product demonstrations, customer presentations, seminars, and promotional workshops to generate interest and demand for digital solutions.
- Working closely with core sales teams to identify and build a qualified sales pipeline for digital products.
- Managing the sales cycle, including proposal submissions, negotiations, follow-ups, order closures, and collection of customer confirmations.
- Supporting the transition from order to billing, onboarding,
deployment, enablement, and successful adoption of products and services within schools.
- Building medium and long-term partnerships with existing and prospective school customers through the delivery of integrated educational solutions.
- Identifying new institutions, courses, opportunities, and market developments within the assigned territory.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders across sales, operations, excellence, marketing, and product teams to deliver customer success.
Through your work, you will directly contribute to expanding the adoption of digital learning solutions, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting Oxford University Presss mission to deliver high-quality educational experiences.
About You
Essential Criteria
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Good understanding of the EdTech sector and digital learning ecosystem.
- Strong consultative sales skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to drive digital transformation discussions with educational institutions.
- Sound knowledge of the K-12 education market, including both print and digital learning products.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively as required.
- Strong understanding of the assigned territory and local market dynamics.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working with schools, educational institutions, or education technology solutions.
- Proven ability to build long-term customer partnerships and drive solution adoption.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve commercial objectives.
