Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced L2 Windows Server Administrator to manage and support enterprise Windows infrastructure in a high-volume Data Center, Managed Services, Government, or large enterprise environment. The role involves administration, troubleshooting, incident management, patch management, Active Directory support, Microsoft 365/Exchange support, and coordination with cross-functional infrastructure teams while ensuring adherence to SLA and ITIL processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L2 support for Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure.
- Handle escalated incidents, service requests, change requests, and technical troubleshooting within SLA timelines.
- Monitor server health, performance, event logs, services, and system availability.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, LDAP, user/group management, MFA, and authentication services.
- Manage IIS servers including website deployment, SSL certificates, application pools, and performance troubleshooting.
- Support Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft 365 administration including mailbox management and mail-flow troubleshooting.
- Perform patch management using WSUS/WDS or enterprise patch management tools.
- Manage Antivirus, DLP, SIEM/Syslog, monitoring, and backup agents as per project requirements.
- Support virtualization platforms and basic cloud infrastructure administration.
- Participate in DR drills, failover activities, patching windows, migrations,



and planned maintenance activities.
- Perform root cause analysis and document corrective/preventive actions.
- Maintain SOPs, Knowledge Base articles, operational documents, change records, and incident reports.
- Coordinate with network, security, application, database, and customer teams during troubleshooting and implementation activities.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management processes.
- Contribute to process improvements, operational excellence, and audit readiness activities.

Required Technical Skills

- Hands-on administration of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows OS, Event Viewer, services, performance counters, and application-related issues.
- Experience with Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS), Group Policy, DNS, LDAP, RADIUS, and MFA integration.
- Hands-on experience in IIS Administration and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with Remote Desktop Services (RDS), Failover Clustering, and High Availability concepts.
- Good scripting knowledge in PowerShell for automation, reporting, and administration.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware / Hyper-V and basic cloud administration.




- Understanding of DR/BCP concepts and DR drill execution support.
- Experience in Windows Server hardening, vulnerability remediation, security patching, VAPT closure, and audit support.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewall rules, ports, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of storage technologies such as SMB/CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, FC, and Windows disk management.
- Familiarity with enterprise ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, JIRA, or equivalent.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or MCA from a recognized university.
- Relevant certifications such as MCP, MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft 365, Azure Administrator, Exchange, or equivalent are preferred.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in Government, Data Center, Managed Services, BFSI, Healthcare, or large enterprise environments.
- Exposure to VDI environments, hybrid Exchange, Azure AD, and enterprise monitoring tools is an added advantage.
