- We are seeking a Principal Ontology Architect with 15+ years of experience in ontology architecture, semantic modeling, knowledge graphs, and enterprise data architecture, with deep expertise in Financial Industry Business Ontology (FIBO) and Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN).
- The role involves defining enterprise ontology strategy, designing and governing complex banking knowledge models, establishing FIBO
- BIAN semantic interoperability, and providing technical leadership for enterprise knowledge graph initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Define enterprise ontology architecture, strategy, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Design and maintain FIBO-V vocabularies aligned with enterprise banking and financial services requirements.
- Develop complex semantic models using RDF, RDFS, OWL, and semantic web standards.
- Architect BIAN service domains, business capabilities, and banking concepts as OWL ontologies.
- Design and govern FIBO
- BIAN bridge models to enable enterprise-wide semantic interoperability.
- Define mappings between banking business concepts, processes, entities, products, and services across FIBO and BIAN.




- Establish reusable ontology patterns, controlled vocabularies, taxonomies, and enterprise semantic standards.
- Lead ontology lifecycle management, governance, validation, and versioning practices.
- Define ontology constraints, business rules, reasoning mechanisms, and semantic validation frameworks.
- Architect and optimize enterprise knowledge graph solutions using graph databases and semantic technologies.
- Develop and optimize complex SPARQL queries for large-scale knowledge graphs.
- Provide architectural guidance on semantic integration, knowledge graphs, and enterprise data interoperability.
- Mentor ontology engineers and provide technical leadership across semantic technology initiatives.
- Collaborate with business, data, architecture, and technology stakeholders to align semantic models with enterprise objectives.
