Job Title: Workday Functional Consultant

Location: Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Workday Core HCM solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Configure and manage Workday Security Framework, including roles, domains, business process security policies, and user/group-based security.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
- Configure and support Core HCM modules such as Job Profiles, Organizations, Supervisory Structures, Compensation, and Worker Lifecycle events.
- Ensure seamless integration and data flow between Core HCM and Payroll systems.
- Support payroll-related configurations, audits, and troubleshooting in coordination with Payroll teams.
- Drive end-to-end implementation lifecycle Requirement Gathering, Design, Build, Testing (SIT/UAT), Deployment, and Post-Go-Live Support.
- Maintain and optimize Workday Business Process Framework (BPF) for HCM workflows including hire, termination, job changes, and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance standards across HCM and Payroll processes.
- Create and maintain functional documentation including FDDs, Solution Design Documents, Security Matrix, and Configuration Workbooks.
- Support data audits, reporting,



and issue resolution related to HCM and Payroll modules.
- Work closely with integration teams for inbound/outbound interfaces impacting HCM and Payroll.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 8–12 years of overall Workday experience with a robust focus on Core HCM.
- Workday HCM Certification (Mandatory).
- Hands-on experience in Workday Security Configuration, including:
- Domain security policies
- Business process security policies
- Role-based and user-based security groups

- Strong functional knowledge of Core HCM modules (Worker Lifecycle, Org Structures, Compensation, Job Management).
- Experience working with or supporting Payroll processes and integrations.
- Solid understanding of Workday Business Process Framework (BPF).
- Experience in end-to-end Workday implementations and support engagements.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, security compliance, and audit controls.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Good to Have:

- Experience with Workday Payroll or Payroll integrations.
- Exposure to Workday Reporting (Advanced, Matrix, Composite reports).
- Knowledge of Workday Integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio – basic understanding).
- Experience in Financial Services / Banking domain.
- Understanding of Workday Release Management and enhancements.
