About Business line/Function: ISPL External Spend Management
Position Purpose:
The Spend Governance Senior Analyst will support the development, maintenance and delivery of spend governance frameworks, analytics dashboards and executive level reporting for BNP Paribas global business units. Working closely with senior leaders, businesses, IT teams and functions, the analyst will help turn raw spend data into transparent insights, ensure data quality standards are met, and assist in the preparation of presentations for senior leadership and board committees.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
Strategic Spend Reporting
- Assist in gathering spend data from multiple sources and validating it against costobjectives and governance standards.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of business wide spend reports, utilization forecasts across multiple business units
- Ensure accuracy, consistency and timeliness of spend data used for governance and reporting purposes
Advanced Analytics and Trend Analysis
- Build and maintain Power BI (or equivalent) dashboards – perform data visualisation and metric calculations.
- Perform trend analysis and craft observations for senior leadership review.
- Document analytical methods and support the translation of data insights into actionable recommendations.
Executive & Board Presentations
- Consolidate and validate information from multiple stakeholders, systems to support board level reporting.
- Analyse and synthesize complex data into clear structured insights and executive ready narratives to support senior leadership decisions
Support Industrialisation Initiatives
- Support the industrialization and automation initiative of data consolidation and executive reporting using analytics platforms and BI tools
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to understand existing systems, data sources and reporting processes to support the documentation of SOPs, Process flows for Reporting and Analytics
- Support implementation of approved process improvements and provide inputs for ongoing optimization
Governance committee orchestration
- Partner closely with TPRM, IT security and other functions to ensure adherence to governance standards and safeguard BNP Paribas interests
- Maintain end-to-end tracking of committee actions, decisions and follow-ups for timely closures
Strategy, Governance & Executive reporting
- Maintain database of global supplier intelligence and support the development of management-ready strategic insights
- Support responsive executive reporting and delivery of on-demand management insights aligned to leadership requirements
Global stakeholder engagement
- Effectively work with global stakeholders, manage communication, coordination and deliverables across geographies
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
The position will require:
- 6+ years of progressive experience in reporting, analytics, and governance
- Experience in supporting industrialisation projects and building reporting platforms (preferred)
- Experience in creating executive presentations, building management insights
- Cross functional collaboration and senior leadership engagement
- Strong analytical, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
