Job Title: QA Engineer - Manual, API Mobile Testing
Experience: 3+ Years
Domain: Banking / UPI Payments preferred
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary
We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing, API Testing, and Mobile Application Testing. The ideal candidate should be capable of validating end-to-end application workflows, identifying and debugging issues, managing defects effectively, and working closely with development and product teams throughout the release lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end manual testing of mobile and API-based applications.
- Design and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on business and functional requirements.
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools, including request/response validation, status codes, payload validation, authentication, and negative scenarios.
- Test mobile applications across Android/iOS devices, OS versions, and different network conditions.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and release validation testing.
- Analyze application behavior, logs, API responses, and backend interactions to identify and troubleshoot defects.
- Log, track, prioritize, and manage defects through the complete defect lifecycle.
- Participate actively in defect triage meetings and clearly explain and defend defects with developers and stakeholders.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and business teams for requirement clarification and issue resolution.
- Support release testing, production validation, and post-release verification.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Primary Skills
- Robust experience in Manual Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in Mobile Application Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in API Testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Good debugging and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, QA methodologies, and defect lifecycle management.
- Experience in defect reporting, triaging, prioritization, and tracking using tools such as JIRA.
- Good understanding of release cycles and production validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience testing banking or fintech applications.
- Hands-on exposure to UPI/payment workflows, including transaction success/failure, refunds, reversals, retries, callbacks/webhooks, and reconciliation.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
- Familiarity with mobile debugging tools, logs, or network analysis tools would be an advantage.
- Exposure to API automation or mobile automation is an added advantage.

- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to explain and defend defects with supporting evidence.
- Proactive approach toward identifying quality risks.
- Solid ownership and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within Agile teams.
