Work with Leonardo Engineering as a Mechanical Design Engineer
For over 40 years, Leonardo Engineering has been designing & building Test Rigs and Support Equipment for the Indian Defence programme. Our area of expertise lies in manufacturing custom-built Hydraulic Test Systems and Cooling Systems in-house from scratch, for the aerospace and defence industry. We have worked extensively on several R&D-intensive; projects in India with HAL, DRDO and the armed forces.
We are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work with us.
For the role, ideal candidates are those who
- Have hands-on experience in the Design of Mechanical components and sub-assemblies
- Are proficient in 2D drafting tools like AutoCAD and 3D modelling software like Inventor, Solid works etc.
- Are Well-versed with Design principles of structure, joint mechanisms, drives, bearings, housings, casings, heat transfer characteristics, etc.
- Are hands-on and have experience in realising their designs to production
- Are comfortable working in a small-organization setup, where teamwork and resourcefulness are highly valued
- Enjoy tough challenges and possess valuable problem-solving skills
- Find learning new things fun
- Have a solid understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics

Role Mechanical Design and Production Engineer (Full time)
Location Bangalore (Peenya Industrial Area)
Key Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Design and Draft 2D drawings in AutoCAD
- Construct 3D models of components and sub-assemblies
- Spend time on the shop floor working with technicians to have the designs realised and manufactured
- Learn Hydraulics, Refrigeration and thermal engineering concepts to be applied
to design systems
Prepare detailed BOM and other documents related to the project
Carry out commissioning of the products/solutions built at the customer site
