Consultant Surgical Oncologist

Qualification

- M.Ch Surgical Oncology

OR

- DrNB Surgical Oncology

Registration

- Valid NMC / State Medical Council Registration

Experience

- Experienced candidates preferred

- Candidates should be capable of independently performing major oncological surgeries and managing complex cancer cases

---

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct Surgical Oncology OPD consultations and manage IPD patients

- Diagnose and surgically manage benign and malignant tumors

- Perform major oncological procedures including Breast, Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary, Head Neck, Thoracic, Gynecological, Soft Tissue, and Colorectal cancer surgeries as per expertise

- Evaluate cancer staging and formulate evidence-based surgical treatment plans

- Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care

- Manage oncological emergencies and complications

- Coordinate with Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, Radiologists, ICU, and other specialists for multidisciplinary cancer care

- Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and follow-up care

- Maintain accurate clinical documentation,



operative notes, and discharge summaries

- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, NABH standards, infection control, and patient safety guidelines
