Responsibilities for fashion designer• The trend search (by making shopping trips and attendance at international trade fairs)• The collection development including selection of fabrics, shapes and trimmings• Liaise with buyer teams overseeing the development of the sample, and working with the different teams involved• Be responsible for presenting your collection to the sales team and obtaining the expected sales results• Compile trend research & inspirational shopping trips that can be shared across the business• Design to customer/ sales brief• Working closely with the product developers to drive fashion direction• Researching consumer trends to gain a deeper understanding of the brand’s audience and vision• Maintain all style updates• Listening/Inquiry
Qualifications for fashion designer• Must have a strong understanding of fit and attitude in fit• Must have a key appreciation and understanding of fabric• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design required• Previous exposure to luxury brands preferred• Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Word, Power Point, Web PDM or PLM• Solid sense of trends and ability to utilize research tool to predict trends a year or more ahead of time

Managing Customer Feedback: Investigating customer complaints and working to resolve issues. Reporting: Preparing reports on quality performance, non-conformities, and corrective actions. Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and improve product performance. Supplier Management: Working with suppliers to ensure they meet quality requirements. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of quality inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
