Job Title Packaging Artwork Designer

Technical/Functional Skills Packaging artwork development and adaptation for labels, cartons, Shippers,inserts, leaflets, and promotional materials.
Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Experience in artwork specifications, graphics and labelling, brand guideline implementation, and artwork quality control.
Understanding of artwork revision, approval, change-control, and version-control processes.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software is preferred.
Knowledge of Figma, artwork management systems, PLM, or SAP is an added advantage.
Experience Required 4 6 years of skilled experience in artwork design, preferably involving packaging artwork, graphics, labelling, or print production.
Hands-on experience translating marketing, branding, regulatory, and technical requirements into production-ready artwork.
Experience coordinating with Marketing, Packaging Development, Regulatory, Quality, Production, printers, and external vendors.
Experience in Consumer Products, FMCG, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Retail Packaging, or Printing and Packaging is preferred.
Experience working in a regulated environment and familiarity with artwork compliance requirements is advantageous.
Roles & Responsibilities Create, modify, adapt, and maintain packaging artwork for labels, cartons, Shippers, inserts, leaflets, and related communication materials.
Prepare accurate layouts, graphics specifications, and print-ready artwork in accordance with approved brand guidelines and technical requirements.
Translate marketing, branding, regulatory, packaging, and customer inputs into compliant production artwork.
Perform detailed artwork checks for text, graphics, dimensions, colour, typography, barcodes, symbols, alignment, and consistency.
Manage artwork revisions,



correction cycles, change requests, file naming, and version control throughout the artwork lifecycle.
Coordinate artwork reviews and approvals with Packaging Development, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Production, and other stakeholders.
Support packaging design and component-development projects by providing artwork-related technical guidance.
Maintain artwork project documentation, specifications, approval records, and controlled files.
Plan assigned activities, manage multiple priorities, and deliver artwork milestones within agreed timelines.
Follow applicable organisational policies, customer procedures, quality requirements, and confidentiality standards.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong attention to detail, visual accuracy, and commitment to quality.
Good understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, layout, composition, and brand consistency.
Ability to interpret creative briefs, technical drawings, packaging specifications, and stakeholder feedback.
Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and work effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
Good planning, estimation, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple artwork projects and changing requirements in a deadline-driven environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is desirable.
Generic Managerial Skills Coordinate with stakeholders to collect requirements and track artwork development, review, approval, and release activities.
Monitor timelines, dependencies, revisions, and risks; escalate issues that may affect quality or delivery.
Provide clear status updates and support effective hand-offs between design, technical, quality, and production teams.
Education Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Packaging Technology, Printing Technology, or a related discipline. Relevant certification in Adobe or graphic design tools is desirable.
