Key Responsibilities / Deliverables Responsible for Business Development of Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation products and solutions across Tamil Nadu Region and achieve the targeted business from the focussed customers list.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Electrical Consultants, HVAC Consultants, Project Management Consultants (PMCs), Utility Customers (CPWD, PWD) for enquiry generation, product approvals, and preference creation.
Ability to understand, work , enumerate stakeholders in new growing subsegments like Data centres, Semiconductors, Solar, Hospitality, Healthcare, Electric Vehicle manufacturers.
Drive approvals, specification management activities by reviewing and influencing technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documents to ensure inclusion of Lauritz Knudsen as approved brand & favourable specifications in upcoming projects across buildings, infrastructure, utility, Industrial segments.
Regularly visit and engage customers across major Tamil Nadu cities including Chennai, Coimbatore, Salem, Trichy, Madurai, Tirunelveli to identify project opportunities and strengthen consultant relationships.
Conduct technical seminars, consultant meets, roadshows, product demonstrations, webinars, and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote Lauritz Knudsen's electrical distribution, automation, energy management, power quality solutions, new energy landscape solutions and digital solutions portfolio.
Ability to interpret and work with Project Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), perform fault level calculations, and recommend suitable switchgear solutions based on system requirements.
Strong understanding of customer applications, with the capability to recommend and size Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Soft Starters for optimum performance and reliability.
Work closely with Sales, Segment, Product management Teams, and Key Account Managers for prescription of specifications, prescribed opportunities into business and improve project conversion rates.
Monitor competitor activities, specifications, project pipelines, and market trends while creating effective strategies for increasing product preference and share of wallet.
Maintain Approvals, Prescription management, project tracking, consultant engagement plans, opportunity funnel management, and CRM updates using SFDC/SAP platforms.
Key Competencies Strong understanding of LV Electrical Distribution Products, Switchgear, Protection Systems, Busbar Systems, Energy Management, Automation,
and Digital Solutions.
Good knowledge of the consultant-driven sales process, prescription selling, specification management, and project business.
Strong network among Electrical Consultants, HVAC Consultants, PMCs, Government Departments in Tamil Nadu.
Ability to influence stakeholders and create preference for products during project planning and design stages.
Strong techno-commercial understanding of products, applications, customer requirements, and competitive offerings.
Ability to work independently, Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Proficiency in CRM tools such as SFDC/SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Experience Experience in Prescription Sales, Consultant Sales, Project Sales, Business Development, or Specification Management within the Electrical Industry.
Experience handling consultants, PMCs, utility customers, healthcare projects, commercial buildings, infrastructure projects, and government accounts.
Familiarity with product categories such as LV Switchgear, MCCBs, ACBs, Metering, Protection Relays, Busbar Trunking Systems, Final Distribution, Wiring Devices, and Energy Efficiency Solutions.
Knowledge of Tamil Nadu market dynamics and key influencers will be an added advantage.
Qualifications B.E. / B.
Tech (Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / EEE) Experience: 10-15 Years in Prescription Sales, Consultant Sales, Project Sales, Business Development, or related roles in the Electrical Industry.
