Associate Vice President (AVP) – SEO, AI Search & Organic Growth

Role overview:

AdLift is looking for an experienced SEO leader to drive organic growth across traditional search engines and emerging AI discovery platforms.

The AVP will own enterprise SEO strategy, client success, team leadership, commercial performance and innovation across SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and LLM visibility.

Key responsibilities:

SEO and organic growth

- Develop enterprise SEO strategies aligned with traffic, leads, revenue and market-share goals.
- Lead technical SEO, content, digital authority, local and international SEO programs.
- Oversee complex audits, migrations, Java Script SEO, structured data, programmatic SEO and large-site indexation.
- Integrate SEO with content, digital PR, paid media, analytics, CRO and product initiatives.
- Establish consistent forecasting, prioritization, quality assurance and reporting standards.

AI search and automation

- Build AdLift’s GEO and AEO strategy for Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and other AI platforms.
- Improve brand mentions, citations, entity visibility and answer ownership across AI-generated experiences.
- Develop frameworks for measuring AI visibility, referral traffic and assisted business impact.
- Embed AI into keyword clustering, content research, technical analysis, reporting and anomaly detection.
- Partner with technology teams to enhance AdLift platforms such as Tesseract and Content Lift.
- Establish human-review and AI-governance standards covering accuracy, privacy, copyright and brand safety.

Client and commercial leadership





- Act as the senior strategic advisor for priority enterprise clients.
- Lead executive reviews, annual planning, workshops and major escalations.
- Own portfolio health across performance, retention, expansion and client satisfaction.
- Support pitches, solution design, pricing and recent-business opportunities.
- Contribute to portfolio revenue, margin, utilization and resource planning.

Team leadership

- Lead and develop SEO managers and specialists across technical, content, analytics and authority workstreams.
- Build scalable structures, SOPs, career paths and succession plans.
- Hire, mentor and retain high-performing talent.
- Create a culture of experimentation, accountability, documentation and continuous learning.
- Strengthen collaboration across SEO, content, paid media, analytics, sales and technology teams.

Required experience

- 12–16 years in SEO, organic growth or digital marketing.
- At least five years in a senior SEO leadership role.
- Experience managing enterprise clients and multidisciplinary SEO teams.
- Strong technical SEO, content-strategy, analytics and digital-authority expertise.
- Proven ability to connect SEO with leads, revenue and other business outcomes.
- Experience with client retention, account expansion, pitches and commercial planning.
- Practical understanding of AI search, GEO, AEO and AI-assisted SEO workflows.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred experience

- Leadership experience within a digital or SEO agency.
- P&L;, portfolio-revenue or gross-margin ownership.
- Experience with international, ecommerce, programmatic or multilingual websites.
- Familiarity with automation platforms, APIs, SQL or Python.
- Experience working in BFSI, healthcare or other regulated sectors.
