Role Description The Small Business Owner at Hackathon VIIT is a full-time, in office role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area, responsible for building and managing club-related business initiatives and ventures. This role involves identifying opportunities to create sustainable revenue streams, designing offerings such as workshops, merchandise, or services, and overseeing their end-to-end execution.
The individual will manage budgeting, pricing, and financial planning, maintain relationships with sponsors and vendors, and ensure all activities align with the club’s mission and policies.



Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with student teams, planning timelines, monitoring performance metrics, and adapting business strategies based on feedback and outcomes.
The role also requires active collaboration with faculty advisors, industry partners, and event organizers to support the club’s growth and visibility.
Qualifications

- Business and entrepreneurship skills, including basic financial management, budgeting, and revenue planning.
- Project and operations management abilities to plan, organize, and execute initiatives and events efficiently.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for working with students, faculty, sponsors, and vendors.
- Marketing and branding skills to promote offerings, manage outreach, and build the club’s presence within and beyond campus.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to evaluate opportunities, assess risks, and improve processes.
- Ability to work on-site in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area and collaborate effectively in a student-led environment.
- Prior experience in student clubs, small ventures, event management, or related activities is beneficial.
- Background in business, management, engineering, or a related field is preferred, but motivated candidates from other disciplines are welcome.
