Position: Warehouse Incharge
Department: Warehouse & E-commerce Operations
Reports To: Store/Operations Manager
Location: Bengaluru
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Objective
To manage the complete day-to-day warehouse and e-commerce operations, ensuring accurate inventory, timely order processing, proper stock storage, productive dispatch, and smooth coordination with the store, purchasing, delivery, and accounts teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
- Receive and verify incoming stock against invoices.
- Check quantity, product condition, batch number and expiry date.
- Properly arrange products category-wise and SKU-wise.
- Maintain accurate physical and system inventory.
- Conduct daily stock checks for fast-moving and critical products.
- Identify damaged, expired, short or excess stock immediately.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable.
- Raise requests for out-of-stock and low-stock products.
2. E-commerce Order Processing
- Process orders received through the website, marketplaces and other online channels.
- Pick products accurately as per the order.
- Pack orders securely and appropriately.
- Ensure correct product, quantity and customer details before dispatch.
- Coordinate with delivery partners/drivers for timely dispatch.
- Update order status in the system without delay.
- Track pending, failed, cancelled and returned orders.
3. Warehouse Discipline & Organisation
- Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of the warehouse.
- Ensure every SKU has a designated storage location.
- Keep aisles and working areas free from unnecessary materials.
- Ensure products are stored safely and protected from damage.
- Maintain proper segregation of damaged, expired and return stock.
4. Stock Reconciliation
- Conduct regular physical stock counts.
- Reconcile physical stock with system stock.
- Investigate and report stock differences immediately.
- Maintain records of stock adjustments, returns and damages.
- Prepare daily/weekly inventory reports for management.

Purchase & Receiving Coordination
- Coordinate with suppliers/distributors during stock receiving.
- Verify invoices and delivered quantities.
- Report discrepancies to the purchasing/accounts team.
- Ensure received stock is entered into the system promptly.
6. Returns & Damaged Stock
- Handle customer and supplier returns.
- Inspect returned products.
- Maintain separate records for saleable, damaged and expired products.
- Coordinate with management regarding replacement, credit note or disposal.
7. Team Management
- Allocate daily tasks to warehouse/e-commerce staff.
- Monitor employee productivity and work completion.
- Ensure staff follow company procedures and instructions.
- Train staff on picking, packing, inventory handling and warehouse discipline.
- Report attendance, performance and behavioural issues to management.
8. Daily Reporting
The Warehouse Incharge must maintain and submit:
- Opening and closing stock status
- Orders received and dispatched
- Pending orders
- Returns and cancellations
- Damaged/expired stock
- Stock discrepancies
- Out-of-stock/low-stock SKUs
- Purchase receiving status
- Daily warehouse productivity
- Any operational issues requiring management attention

- Same-day processing of all orders received within operational cut-off time
- No unnecessary pending orders
- Timely system updates
- Zero avoidable stock discrepancies
- Proper FIFO/FEFO compliance

The Warehouse Incharge is responsible for the accuracy, safety and operational efficiency of all warehouse stock and e-commerce fulfilment activities.
Any stock shortage, unexplained inventory difference, damaged stock, delayed order, system error or operational issue must be reported to the reporting manager immediately rather than being ignored or carried forward.
Required Skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Experience with POS/ERP/e-commerce systems preferred
- Inventory management knowledge
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work with Excel/Google Sheets
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage a small warehouse team
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks within deadlines
Experience
Preferred: 2–5 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, e-commerce fulfilment, retail or FMCG/pet-product operations.
Industry experience: Pet industry/FMCG/e-commerce experience will be an advantage.
Important Work Requirement
The position requires the employee to be hands-on in daily warehouse operations, not only supervisory. The employee is expected to personally monitor stock, orders, picking, packing, reconciliation and task completion and ensure that all responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager are completed within the stipulated time.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
