Job Summary

The Staff Cook is responsible for preparing hygienic, nutritious, and good-quality meals for employees while maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and proper kitchen practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare daily meals for staff according to the approved menu and required quantities.
- Ensure food is prepared fresh, hygienically, and on time.
- Maintain proper portion sizes and minimize food wastage.
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before cooking.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking equipment, and work areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards.
- Store food items properly and ensure ingredients are used efficiently.
- Assist with receiving, checking, and organizing kitchen supplies when required.
- Maintain proper cleanliness of utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Report shortages, damaged ingredients,



or equipment issues to the supervisor.
- Follow instructions from the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
- Support other kitchen duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Cook, Staff Cook, or similar role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Indian cuisine and everyday staff meals.
- Ability to prepare food in sufficient quantities within the required time.
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to work in a busy kitchen environment.
- Positive communication and a positive attitude.
