Job Description

Lotus Infra LLP is looking for a Business Development & Tendering Engineer – Civil who can actively generate new civil construction business, develop client relationships, and independently handle tendering, estimation and commercial proposals.

This is not only a tender documentation role. The candidate will be expected to identify current project opportunities, approach prospective clients and follow up from the initial enquiry until the work order/project is secured.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and generate new civil construction projects and business opportunities for the company.
- Approach industries, private companies, builders, developers, architects, consultants and other potential clients.
- Develop new client relationships and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Conduct client meetings, calls, presentations and regular follow-ups.
- Visit client offices and project sites whenever required.
- Understand project requirements, drawings, specifications and scope of work.
- Search and evaluate suitable private and government tender opportunities.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial tender documents.
- Prepare BOQ, quantity take-off, estimates, costing and rate analysis.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and comparative cost statements.




- Participate in rate negotiations and commercial discussions with clients.
- Coordinate with management and project/site teams before finalizing quotations and commitments.
- Follow each business lead from enquiry → site visit → estimation → quotation → negotiation → work order.
- Maintain records of enquiries, quotations, tenders and follow-up status.
- Work towards achieving business development and project acquisition targets.

Required Skills & Experience

- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering preferred.
- Experience in Civil Construction, Tendering, Estimation or Business Development.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity estimation and rate analysis.
- Ability to read civil, architectural and structural drawings.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and tender documentation.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.
- Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable with client meetings, site visits and field work.
- Candidate should be proactive and capable of independently developing new business opportunities.

Preferred Candidate

Preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked with a civil contractor/construction company and have practical experience in client acquisition, project/tender conversion and bringing new construction work to the company.

Performance-based incentives may be offered for successful business/project conversion.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
