About Rohan School of Music (RSM)

Rohan School of Music (RSM) is an online music and performing arts education platform focused on providing high-quality, structured learning experiences to students across different age groups and skill levels.

We are looking for passionate and experienced Classical Dance Teachers specializing in Bharatanatyam and/or Kathak to join our faculty team and conduct engaging online dance classes.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct one-on-one and/or group online classes for students across different age groups and skill levels.
- Teach Bharatanatyam and/or Kathak with a strong focus on technique, foundations, repertoire, and performance.
- Assess students' current skill levels and tailor lessons according to their learning needs and goals.
- Develop structured lesson plans and ensure consistent learning progress.
- Teach fundamental aspects such as adavu, mudras, rhythm, expressions, footwork, posture, and choreography, as relevant to the dance form.
- Prepare students for performances, examinations, and graded learning programs where applicable.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and help them improve their technique and performance.
- Ensure regular attendance and timely communication regarding classes, schedules, and student progress.




- Follow RSM's teaching standards, class policies, and operational processes.

Requirements

- Strong proficiency in Bharatanatyam and/or Kathak.
- Formal training in the respective classical dance form is preferred.
- Prior experience teaching children and/or adult learners is preferred.
- Strong understanding of classical dance fundamentals, technique, rhythm, and repertoire.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage students effectively in an online learning environment.
- Patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about teaching.
- Comfortable conducting classes using online video platforms.
- A reliable internet connection and a suitable setup for conducting online dance classes.

Availability

We are particularly looking for teachers who can commit to morning and/or evening slots and are available across multiple days of the week.

- Flexibility to take regular recurring classes
