Job Summary

Responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing, statutory compliance, employee records, attendance, wages, and HR documentation while ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll Management

- Process monthly payroll accurately and within the scheduled timeline.
- Verify attendance, overtime, leave, LOP, incentives, advances, deductions, and other payroll inputs.
- Prepare salary sheets, wage sheets, payslips, and payroll reports.
- Calculate PF, ESI, Qualified Tax, TDS and other applicable deductions.
- Reconcile payroll data with attendance and finance records.
- Handle payroll-related employee queries and resolve discrepancies.

2. Statutory Compliance

- Ensure timely compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages and other applicable compliances.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns, challans, registers, and required documentation within deadlines.
- Maintain statutory records and ensure they are updated and audit-ready.
- Coordinate with government departments, consultants, auditors, and statutory authorities when required.
- Monitor changes in labour laws and advise management regarding necessary compliance actions.

3. Attendance & Wage Management

- Monitor employee attendance, biometric/punching records, leave, late attendance, early attendance, and LOP.
- Verify attendance data before processing payroll.
- Maintain employee-wise wage and attendance records.




- Coordinate with department heads and supervisors regarding attendance corrections and missing punches.
- Ensure wage calculations comply with applicable minimum wage requirements.

4. Employee Records & HR Documentation

- Maintain accurate employee master data and personal records.
- Maintain appointment letters, employee files, wage records, statutory documents, and other HR records.
- Ensure timely collection and updating of KYC and statutory documents.
- Maintain records of employee joining, transfer, salary revision, promotion, and separation.

5. Contractor & Labour Compliance

- Monitor statutory compliance of contractors and contract labourers.
- Verify contractor wage sheets, attendance, PF/ESI records, challans, and other statutory documents.
- Ensure contract labour documentation is maintained properly.
- Coordinate with contractors for timely submission of compliance records.

6. Audit & Reporting

- Prepare monthly HR, payroll, attendance, and statutory compliance reports for management.
- Support internal, statutory, labour, PF, ESI, and other compliance audits.
- Identify compliance gaps and coordinate corrective actions.




- Maintain proper documentation for future reference and inspections.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- 100% timely and accurate monthly payroll processing.
- Timely submission of all applicable statutory returns and challans.
- Accuracy of PF, ESI, PT, TDS and other statutory calculations.
- Minimum payroll and attendance errors.
- Up-to-date employee and statutory records.
- Timely resolution of payroll and employee queries.
- Contractor statutory compliance maintained as per company requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in HR, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in payroll and statutory compliance, preferably in manufacturing, construction, interior, or contracting industries.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliances.
- Practical knowledge of PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, and payroll processing.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and HR/payroll software.
- Strong numerical, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee salary and personal information.

Preferred Knowledge

- Experience handling factory and office employees.
- Knowledge of migrant/contract labour compliance.
- Experience with biometric attendance and payroll integration.
- Working knowledge of HRMS/payroll software.
- Experience in statutory audits and labour inspections.

Pay: ₹14,668.24 - ₹25,000.00 per month
