Job Profile – Fresher Structural Engineer

Position Summary

MLN Associates is looking for an enthusiastic and technically sound Fresher Structural Engineer to support the analysis, design and detailing of residential, commercial and industrial structures. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of senior structural engineers and gain practical exposure to live projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the analysis and design of RCC and structural-steel buildings.
- Develop structural models using ETABS, SAFE and STAAD.Pro.
- Assist in designing slabs, beams, columns, shear walls, staircases and foundations.
- Prepare design calculations, structural reports and Design Basis Reports.
- Review architectural drawings and identify structural requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, geotechnical consultants and structural draftsmen.
- Prepare structural framing plans and provide reinforcement inputs to the drafting team.
- Check structural drawings for dimensions, reinforcement details and consistency with design calculations.
- Assist senior engineers in preparing quantity estimates and BOQs.
- Incorporate comments received from clients, proof consultants and approving authorities.
- Maintain proper records of calculations, drawings, revisions and project correspondence.
- Attend coordination meetings and site visits whenever required.
- Follow applicable Indian Standards, project specifications and internal quality procedures.

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
- Candidates who have recently completed their degree may apply.

Technical Knowledge Required





- Basic understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
- Knowledge of RCC and steel design.
- Familiarity with Indian Standards such as IS 456, IS 800, IS 875 and IS 1893.
- Understanding of gravity, wind and earthquake loads.
- Basic knowledge of foundations, retaining walls and reinforcement detailing.
- Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.

Preferred Software Skills

- ETABS
- PROTECTED
- STAAD.Pro
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Excel and Word

Knowledge of Revit Structure, RCDC, CYPE, MIDAS or other structural software will be an added advantage.
