Job Description – Production Officer

Position: Production Officer
Department: Production
Location: Palghar, Maharashtra
Experience: 2–5 years in Production, preferably in Cosmetic, Pharma, FMCG, or Chemical Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and result-oriented Production Officer to manage day-to-day production activities, manpower, production planning, documentation, and shop-floor operations. The candidate should have good knowledge of manufacturing processes, GMP, SOPs, safety, and production documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute daily production activities as per the approved production plan.
- Monitor production processes and ensure timely completion of batches.
- Allocate manpower and supervise operators and contract workers.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor availability and proper utilization of raw materials, packing materials, and other resources.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, Stores, Maintenance, and Packing departments.
- Ensure proper line clearance and equipment readiness before starting production.
- Follow approved SOPs, BMR/BPR, GMP, safety, and hygiene requirements.
- Maintain production records, logbooks, batch records, checklists, and other required documentation.
- Monitor process parameters and report any deviation or abnormality to the concerned authority.
- Ensure proper identification, handling, and storage of materials during production.
- Minimize production losses, wastage, and downtime.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices in the production area.
- Supervise and train operators regarding production procedures, GMP,



safety, and work practices.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity of production manpower.
- Prepare daily production reports and update production status to the Production Manager / Plant Head.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by maintaining proper records and shop-floor compliance.
- Ensure safe working practices and immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of production and manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, safety, and production documentation.
- Good manpower handling and supervisory skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
- Ability to work in shifts and meet production targets.

Qualification

Diploma / B.Sc. / B.E. / B.Tech. in a relevant discipline.

Experience in Cosmetic, Pharma, FMCG, or Chemical Manufacturing will be preferred.

- Production efficiency and manpower productivity.
- Accuracy and timely completion of production documentation.

- Reduction of process deviations and production losses.

Reporting To

Production Manager / Plant Head

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
