Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Hands-on Development

- Lead design and development of scalable, high-performance applications using:

- React.js / TypeScript (Frontend)

- Node.js (Backend)

- Kafka (Event-driven architecture)

- PostgreSQL or other databases

- Contribute actively to coding, code reviews, and architecture decisions

- Drive adoption of best practices in microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native development

- Ensure system observability using tools like Grafana

2. Team Leadership & People Management

- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of highly competent engineers

- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning

- Drive performance management, hiring, and career development

- Ensure high team engagement and retention aligned with Musikaar’s culture

3. Client Engagement & Delivery Ownership

- Act as a primary technical interface for clients

- Understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions

- Participate in client discussions (new & existing)

- Participate in technical interviews for client-side roles

- Support solutioning and estimation activities

- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery aligned with client expectations

4. Engineering Excellence & Process Improvement

- Drive Agile/DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation

- Establish strong engineering processes across code quality

- Implement effective testing strategies





- Improve release management practices

- Promote a balance between speed and quality aligned with Musikaar’s delivery philosophy

5. Architecture & Scalability

- Design and review system architecture for scalability, reliability, and performance

- Work with Kubernetes and containerized environments

- Implement event-driven and distributed architectures using Kafka

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with React.js & TypeScript

- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js

- Strong hands-on experience with Kafka

- Solid hands-on experience with PostgreSQL / NoSQL databases

- Experience with Kubernetes / container orchestration

- Experience with Grafana / monitoring tools

- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture

- Solid understanding of system design and distributed systems

Leadership & Functional Skills

- Proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams

- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills

- Experience working in IT services / offshore delivery models (highly preferred)

- Ability to balance hands-on work with strategic leadership

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with American clients

- Exposure to Quality Engineering / Automation-first environments

- Prior experience in product development or scaling engineering teams
