Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, standards, and customer requirements (dimensions, materials, finishes, treatments, coatings, inspections).
- Develop manufacturing processes and detailed process plans/sequences for aerospace components.
- Prepare and interpret stage drawings with correct intermediate dimensions, tolerances, datums, and machining allowances.
- Apply strong GD&T; knowledge in drawing interpretation, process planning, stage drawing preparation, and inspection methods.
- Lead Control Plan and PFMEA preparation with cross‑functional teams, identifying risks, special characteristics, and reaction plans.
- Manage Engineering Change Notes (ECN), ensuring proper implementation of drawing revisions across processes, tooling, and documentation.
- Maintain controlled engineering documentation, ensuring latest approved revisions are available to manufacturing.
- Support recent product introduction, first‑off production, process proving, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bring 3–4 years’ experience in aerospace or precision engineering, with exposure to tight‑tolerance machined components and CAD software.
- Preferred: exposure to APQP, FAI, PPAP, process validation, and knowledge of CNC machining and precision manufacturing processes.
