Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QC Engineer to ensure the quality of raw materials, components, manufacturing processes, and finished CT/PT and transformer products. The candidate will be responsible for stage-wise inspection, dimensional checking, documentation, identification of non-conformities, and coordination with production and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform incoming inspection of raw materials, bought-out components, fabricated parts, tanks, structures, insulation materials and other transformer components.
- Conduct in-process inspection during fabrication, machining, assembly, welding, painting and final assembly.
- Check components and assemblies as per engineering drawings, specifications, quality plans and customer requirements.
- Perform dimensional inspection using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, measuring tape and other inspection instruments.
- Check welding quality, dimensions, fit-up, surface finish and workmanship of transformer/CT/PT components.
- Verify material certificates, inspection reports and other quality documents.
- Identify and report Non-Conformities (NCR) and coordinate with production for corrective action.
- Assist in Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone and CAPA activities.
- Maintain inspection reports, quality records,



check sheets and test documentation.
- Ensure measuring and testing instruments are properly calibrated and calibration records are maintained.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Purchase, Stores and Testing departments for quality-related issues.
- Support customer/third-party inspections and audits when required.
- Follow ISO 9001, 5S, safety procedures and company quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement and reduction of rejection, rework and customer complaints.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of Transformer / CT / PT manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, GA drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of basic quality control tools and inspection methods.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.
- Basic understanding of IS/IEC standards and quality requirements is an advantage.
- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone and CAPA will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
- Positive communication, observation and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work on the shop floor and coordinate with production teams.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1+ year experience in QC/QA in transformer, CT/PT, electrical equipment, fabrication or engineering manufacturing industry preferred.
- Fresh candidates with relevant internship/shop-floor exposure may also be considered.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
