Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and meticulous Fine Jewelry Designer to join our creative team. In this role, you will translate luxury brand visions, market trends, and consumer insights into commercially viable, high-quality jewelry collections. You will work with precious metals (gold, platinum) and genuine gemstones or diamonds, balancing creative artistry with technical production knowledge. The ideal candidate will create detailed sketches and digital models, engineering pieces that are both breathtakingly beautiful and structurally enduring within targeted cost structures.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Collection Development: Research global luxury trends to create seasonal mood boards, color palettes, and cohesive design narratives across multiple product categories (rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets).
- Bespoke Custom Design: Create exclusive, one-of-a-kind custom pieces for private VIP clients, designing around the unique dimensions, cuts, and characteristics of high-value center stones.
- Technical CAD Modeling: Convert 2D sketches into highly detailed, precise 3D digital models using jewelry-specific CAD software, accounting for exact metal shrinkage and stone tolerances.
- Tech Pack Generation: Build comprehensive technical specification sheets detailing precise metal weights, exact millimeter dimensions, stone counts, setting styles, and mechanism types.
- Ergonomics & Wearability: Ensure high-value items sit correctly on the body, distribute weight comfortably, and feature secure, integrated safety clasps, hidden hinges, or modular components.
- Atelier Collaboration: Partner closely with master bench jewelers, stone setters,



and 3D-printing technicians to review wax models and physical gold prototypes, refining designs based on physical samples.
- Design-to-Cost Management: Engineer intricate pieces to fit strict target Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) without compromising the luxury weight, feel, or visual integrity of the piece.
- Ethical Material Selection: Partner with sourcing teams to select ethically sourced, certified conflict-free diamonds (Kimberley Process) and responsibly mined precious metals.

Job Requirements

- Experience: 2+ years of dedicated skilled experience designing in the fine or high-jewelry sector (working with 9k/14k gold, platinum, and precious stones).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Jewelry Design, Fine Arts, Luxury Product Design, or a related field.
- Portfolio: A luxury-focused portfolio demonstrating the complete design process, from initial hand-sketched renderings to finished technical drawings and rendered 3D CAD models.
- CAD & Creative Software: Advanced proficiency in MatrixGold, Rhino, or JewelCAD, alongside strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Rendering Software: Experience with Keyshot, V-Ray, or Matrix rendering engines to create photo-realistic digital presentations for clients.
- Advanced Gemology: Deep understanding of diamond shapes, cuts, clarities, and the physical characteristics/fragility of different colored precious gemstones. GIA certification is highly preferred.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Master-level understanding of jewelry manufacturing techniques (lost-wax casting, laser welding) and complex setting techniques (micro-pavé, channel, tension, traditional claw/prong).
