About the Role

D’Art Design is looking for a 3D Printer Operator to manage day-to-day 3D printing operations, from preparing files and setting up prints to machine operation, quality checks and prototype iterations.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with FDM 3D Printing and a basic understanding of 3D modelling, slicing and product development.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate and monitor 3D printers for prototypes and production requirements.

· Prepare, repair and optimise STL/3D files for printing.

· Handle slicing, print orientation, supports and print settings.

· Optimise parameters such as layer height, infill, temperature and print speed.

· Perform machine calibration, nozzle changes, filament loading and basic maintenance.

· Identify and troubleshoot common printing issues and failures.

· Conduct quality checks and post-processing of printed parts.

· Support product designers in prototype development and design iterations.

· Maintain records of print time, material consumption, failures and output.

· Ensure safe and efficient operation of machines and maintain a clean workspace.





Preferred Skills

· Hands-on experience with FDM 3D Printers.

· Knowledge of Cura, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer or similar slicing software.

· Basic knowledge of Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, Blender or AutoCAD.

· Understanding of materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS/ASA and their printing requirements.

· Basic knowledge of 3D modelling and manufacturability.

· Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

· Attention to detail and quality.

Education

· Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, CAD/Design or a relevant technical qualification.

· Freshers with strong hands-on 3D printing/CAD skills may also be considered.
