Srikara Hospitals is looking for skilled and experienced Scrub Nurses / OT Nurses to join our Operation Theatre team.

Scrub Nurse / OT Nurse

Qualification

- GNM / B.Sc Nursing
- Valid Nursing Council registration

Experience

- 1–5 years of experience in Operation Theatre / Scrub Nursing
- Candidates with experience in Orthopaedic, General Surgery and other surgical specialties will be preferred

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the Operation Theatre before surgical procedures.
- Arrange and check surgical instruments, equipment and consumables.
- Assist surgeons during operative procedures by providing instruments and required materials.
- Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques throughout the surgery.
- Perform correct instrument, sponge and needle counts before, during and after procedures.
- Ensure proper handling, cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, circulating nurses and OT technicians.
- Check availability and functioning of OT equipment before every procedure.
- Maintain proper OT documentation and surgical records.
- Follow infection-control and biomedical waste-management protocols.




- Ensure proper stock maintenance of OT consumables and surgical supplies.
- Assist in emergency surgeries and maintain readiness for urgent procedures.
- Follow patient-safety protocols and hospital SOPs.

Skills Required

- Strong knowledge of OT procedures and surgical instruments
- Valuable knowledge of sterilization and infection-control practices
- Ability to anticipate the surgeon’s requirements during procedures
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and emergency duties
