Job Description
your typical day includes As a Workday Data Migration Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our global Workday deployment by ensuring the accurate and efficient migration of employee data from various source systems into our new Workday platform. You will be a key member of the Global People Analytics team, collaborating closely with the global HR transformation team, the global HR data and reporting team, and the local HR teams in different countries to facilitate a smooth transition to Workday as well as the System Implementation partner. A typical day includes working with local HR teams and local data stewards to map data to a global data model in data gathering workbooks (DGW). Review Workday validation reports and support local stakeholders in resolution. Improve data quality and accelerate data migration processes, reporting progress and planning for future activities. Create and maintain data quality trackers and data migration support materials - FAQs, data definition repositories. Central point of contact for data migration queries from local stakeholders and the system implementation partner. Facilitate local and global data UAT activities in Workday. your responsibilities include Data Extraction and Analysis: Collaborate with local HR teams in different countries to understand their existing HR data structures and systems. Extract data from various Global source systems (e.g., legacy HR systems, spreadsheets, etc.) using appropriate tools and techniques. Analyze and profile the extracted data to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and gaps. Data Transformation and Mapping: Collaborate with local HR teams in different countries to understand their existing HR data structures and systems. Extract data from various Global source systems (e.g., legacy HR systems, spreadsheets, etc.) using appropriate tools and techniques. Data Validation and Reconciliation: Collaborate with local HR teams in different countries to understand their existing HR data structures and systems. Extract data from various Global source systems (e.g., legacy HR systems, spreadsheets, etc.)
using appropriate tools and techniques. Analyze and profile the extracted data to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and gaps. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Global HR, IT and local HR teams to coordinate data migration activities. Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders on data migration progress, issues, and risks. Develop and maintain comprehensive data migration documentation. Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot data migration issues and provide support to local HR teams. Escalate complex technical issues as needed. skills and knowledge Workday Knowledge: Experience working with Workday is required, including foundation data structures and EIB. Workday certifications are a plus. Data Migration Experience: Proven experience in data migration projects involving HR data and Workday. Data Analysis Skills: Strong data analysis skills, including data profiling, cleansing, and transformation. Technical Skills: Proficiency in data manipulation tools (e.g. SQL, Excel) and data migration processes. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Global mindset and understanding of different cultural contexts. Problem-Solving: Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies.
