Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
The Senior Platform Engineer will report to the Manager of Platform Engineering and will be responsible for supporting the modernization, automation, and consolidation of Client's IT infrastructure. This role will focus primarily on Azure based cloud solutions, with a solid emphasis on cloud native platforms, infrastructure automation, Terraform based infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps deployment practices, and secure platform operations.
Mandatory Skills:
. 5 9 years of experience in a Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar role.
. Hands on experience with Azure Red Hat OpenShift.
. Experience supporting migrations from on premises OpenShift to Azure Red Hat OpenShift.
. Experience working with Azure based cloud environments.
. Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform may be helpful, but this role is primarily focused on Azure.
. Experience supporting enterprise CI/CD, infrastructure automation, container platforms, GitOps workflows, artifact management, and cloud native application delivery.
Skills:
. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to influence others, work independently, and exercise appropriate judgment in decision making.
. Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including business analysts, developers, data scientists, infrastructure engineers, security teams, and subject matter experts.

. Experience with source control management tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, or Bitbucket.
. Experience with GitOps tools and operating models, including Argo CD.
. Experience with artifact and repository management tools such as Nexus Repository Manager.
. Experience with package, artifact, and container image promotion across lower and production environments.
. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
. Experience with security and code scanning tools such as Snyk.
. Familiarity with Veracode and Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security is a plus.
. Experience integrating security scanning, code quality gates, and vulnerability management into CI/CD pipelines.
. Familiarity with cloud governance, platform standards, change management, access controls, segregation of duties, and secure deployment practices.
. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across cloud infrastructure, container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, networking, identity, logging, and monitoring.
Ability to develop and maintain clear technical documentation for platform standards, operational procedures, deployment patterns, and automated processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
. Work collaboratively with engineering teams to identify, design, and implement optimal cloud based solutions for Client Team, with a primary focus on Azure.
. Support the migration and modernization of containerized workloads from on premises OpenShift to Azure Red Hat OpenShift.
. Provide hands on technical expertise for OpenShift, Azure Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and cloud native application platforms.
. Define, document, and promote best practices and strategies for application deployment, infrastructure automation, cloud operations, platform maintenance, GitOps, and secure delivery.
. Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements and align with Clien's IT strategy, security standards, compliance requirements, and performance expectations.
. Design, build, and maintain infrastructure as code templates and automation used to provision, configure, and manage cloud platforms and services.
. Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for building, testing, securing, publishing, and deploying cloud native applications using tools such as CloudBees CI/Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, and Nexus Repository Manager.
. Support artifact, package,
and container image management practices using tools such as Nexus Repository Manager, ensuring reliable versioning, traceability, and secure promotion of build artifacts through the delivery lifecycle.
. Provide technical leadership in the deployment, operation, and ongoing management of Azure based cloud solutions.
. Ensure application and platform performance, uptime, scalability, and reliability while maintaining high standards for code quality, security, and thoughtful design.
. Guide and coach more junior engineers as they grow their skills and gain experience within the Platform Engineering and Cloud Engineering space.
. Design, build, and support cloud applications and services, including workloads involving data processing, analytics, and computationally intensive processing.
. Participate in all aspects of the SDLC for cloud and platform solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, deployment, and quality assurance.
. Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, remediate issues, document problems, and implement preventive measures.
. Educate application and infrastructure teams on new cloud based initiatives, standards, tools, and practices, providing associated training when necessary.
. Demonstrate strong problem solving skills, with an ability to identify and resolve issues before they affect business productivity.
. Develop and maintain supporting documentation for automated processes, platform standards, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, deployment patterns, and operational procedures.
. Work closely with Production and Non Production environment owners to develop and maintain role based workflows that support segregation of duties.
. Coordinate and lead training and information sharing sessions with the Platform Engineering team.
. Oversee and support production deployments during major release activities for components owned by the Platform Engineering team.
. Serve as a subject matter expert in committees related to cloud governance, platform architecture, DevOps practices, GitOps practices, OpenShift architecture, Azure Red Hat OpenShift, and cloud security.
