An Workplace, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager protects workers from workplace dangers and ensures company operations follow local, state, and national environmental laws. They create safety rules, lead risk checks, and run emergency plans to lower workplace accidents and reduce environmental harm.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Reporting: Track local and national regulations (such as OSHA or EPA standards), manage permits, and submit required legal reports.
- Audits & Inspections: Check facilities regularly to find and fix safety risks or environmental hazards.
- Incident Investigation: Look into workplace accidents or near-misses, find the root cause, and fix processes to stop them from happening again.
- Training & Education: Lead safety onboarding, run emergency safety drills, and teach workers safe daily work habits.
- Management Systems: Maintain standards like ISO 14001 (environment)
and ISO 45001 (safety).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Public Health, or a related engineering field.
- Experience: 3 to 7+ years of hands-on safety experience, often in high-risk settings like manufacturing, construction, or logistics.
- Certifications: Professional credentials like Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) are strongly preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of local legal codes, clear communication skills, and problem-solving abilities for crisis response
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
