Position Overview:

Shukra Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Vice President / Division Head – Dental Vertical to build, lead, and scale the company’s dental business as a strategic business unit.

The incumbent will have end-to-end P&L; responsibility for the Dental Vertical and will be responsible for developing the product portfolio, identifying technology and manufacturing partners, driving regulatory approvals, establishing distribution and sales networks, building key institutional and dental-clinic relationships, and delivering sustainable revenue and profitability.

The role requires a strong combination of dental-industry knowledge, commercial leadership, product management, business development, channel management, and strategic execution.

2. Key Responsibilities:

A. Business Strategy & P&L;:

- Develop and execute the overall strategy and business plan for Shukra’s Dental Vertical.
- Own the P&L;, revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, working capital, and growth targets of the division.
- Identify high-growth dental market segments and prioritize products and markets.
- Develop annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, and business targets.
- Establish KPIs and performance dashboards for the Dental Vertical.
- Drive profitable and scalable growth across India and international markets.

B. Dental Product Portfolio:

- Build and manage a comprehensive dental product portfolio covering, as applicable:

- Dental consumables
- Dental instruments
- Dental handpieces
- Dental chairs and units
- Endodontic products
- Restorative products
- Dental implants and prosthetic products
- Orthodontic products
- Oral surgery products
- Dental imaging and X-ray systems
- Digital dentistry / CAD-CAM solutions
- Infection-control and sterilization products
- Other innovative dental technologies

- Identify opportunities for OEM, ODM, technology transfer, contract manufacturing, and strategic partnerships.
- Lead product lifecycle management from concept and sourcing through commercialization and post-market activities.
- Work closely with R&D;, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales teams.

C. Market Development & Sales

- Build a national dental sales and distribution strategy.
- Establish and manage:

- State-wise distributors
- Dental dealers
- Institutional sales channels
- Hospital accounts
- Dental chains
- Government and institutional customers
- Key opinion leaders (KOLs)
- Dental colleges and universities
- Large dental clinics

- Develop direct and channel sales models based on product category.
- Drive tender and institutional business opportunities.
- Establish pricing, discount, channel-margin, and commercial policies.
- Monitor competitors, market pricing, product launches, and market trends.

D. International Business:

- Identify and develop international opportunities for Shukra’s dental products.
- Build distributor and strategic-partner networks in selected international markets.
- Lead export market entry strategies and commercial negotiations.
- Coordinate with Regulatory and Quality teams for international registrations and certifications.




- Develop private-label and OEM opportunities.

E. Strategic Partnerships & M&A;:

- Identify potential technology partners, manufacturers, distributors, dental chains, and strategic investors.
- Evaluate potential JV, licensing, technology-transfer, OEM/ODM, and acquisition opportunities.
- Lead commercial due diligence and partnership negotiations in coordination with senior management.
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key dental-industry stakeholders.

F. Regulatory, Quality & Compliance:

- Work with Regulatory and Quality teams to ensure timely product registrations and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian and international medical-device and dental-product regulations.
- Support product classification, regulatory strategy, technical documentation, clinical/evaluation requirements, and post-market surveillance as applicable.
- Ensure all products are commercialized in accordance with Shukra’s quality and compliance requirements.

G. Team Building & Leadership:

- Build the complete organization required for the Dental Vertical.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and retain high-performing teams across:

- Marketing
- Product Management
- Business Development
- Regulatory
- Clinical / Application Support
- Supply Chain
- Customer Service

- Establish clear KRAs, KPIs, incentive structures, and performance-management systems.
- Develop a strong customer-focused and entrepreneurial culture.

H. Marketing & Brand Development:

- Develop Shukra’s Dental brand positioning and go-to-market strategy.
- Lead participation in dental exhibitions, conferences, workshops, CME programs, and professional forums.
- Develop KOL engagement and clinical education programs.
- Create product-launch strategies and marketing campaigns.
- Strengthen Shukra’s brand presence among dentists, dental institutions, hospitals, and dental chains.

3. Key Performance Indicators:

The incumbent will be evaluated on:

- Annual revenue and revenue growth
- Gross margin and EBITDA contribution
- P&L; performance
- New product launches
- New customer and distributor acquisition
- Number and quality of strategic partnerships
- Market share development
- Export revenue
- Product registration and commercialization timelines
- Sales-force productivity
- Working-capital performance
- Customer retention and satisfaction
- Achievement of annual business-plan targets

4. Qualifications:

Essential:

- Bachelor’s degree in Dental Sciences, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field.
- MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Sales, Business Management, or equivalent is preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant experience, with significant leadership experience in the dental, medical-device, healthcare, or dental-consumables industry.




- Demonstrated experience managing a sizable business unit with revenue and P&L; responsibility.

Preferred:

- Experience with dental equipment, consumables, instruments, implants, imaging, or digital dentistry.
- Experience in building businesses from the ground up.
- Experience with OEM/ODM and international suppliers.
- Experience in government and institutional business.
- Existing relationships with dental distributors, dental chains, hospitals, dental colleges, and KOLs.

The ideal candidate should be a high-energy business leader and builder who can take complete ownership of the Dental Vertical and transform it into a significant independent business for Shukra Pharmaceuticals.

The candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to:

Identify opportunity → Build product portfolio → Establish partnerships → Obtain approvals → Build distribution → Drive sales → Scale operations → Deliver P&L; growth.

7. Authority & Decision-Making:

The Vice President / Division Head will have appropriate authority, within approved company policies and budgets, to:

- Develop and recommend the Dental Vertical’s annual business plan.
- Recommend product portfolio and pricing strategies.
- Negotiate commercial partnerships and distribution arrangements.
- Recommend hiring and organizational structures.
- Allocate approved sales and marketing budgets.
- Develop channel and incentive programs.
- Recommend investments in products, technologies, and strategic partnerships.

Major capital expenditure, acquisitions, JVs, and strategic investments will remain subject to approval by the Managing Director / Board.

8. Compensation:

Compensation: Competitive fixed compensation + performance-linked variable incentive + other benefits, commensurate with experience and demonstrated business leadership.

A performance-linked ESOP / long-term incentive structure may also be considered for an exceptional candidate based on the scale and strategic importance of the Dental Vertical.
