Senior Accountant – Job Description

Job Title: Senior Accountant
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports To: CFO
Location: Pitampura , Delhi
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain statutory compliance, and support management with financial analysis and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily accounting activities, including journal entries, ledgers, vouchers, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Perform bank, customer, vendor, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and coordinate for timely settlements.
- Prepare and review GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Assist with income tax, audit, and other statutory/internal audits.
- Ensure timely closing of monthly and annual accounts.
- Review accounting transactions and identify discrepancies or errors.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for all financial transactions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, customers, auditors, banks, and tax consultants.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, internal controls, and applicable laws.




- Provide financial information and reports to senior management as required.
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff where applicable.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA Inter / CMA / M.Com or equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
- 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing workplace.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
