Position Description:

An Regional Retail Head is primarily responsible driving top-line growth across multiple lines of business (LOBs), including Agency, Motor Dealer/OEMs, Retail Brokers, and Bancassurance. The Regional Retail Head will be responsible for portfolio diversification, partner engagement, team leadership, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while delivering sustainable business performance.

Key responsibilities:

- Drive and achieve monthly revenue targets across all retail channels: Agency, Motor Dealer/OEMs, Retail Brokers, and Bancassurance.
- Ensure balanced portfolio growth across Motor, Non-Motor, and Health insurance products.
- Own and manage all preferred retail lines of business across the assigned region.
- Consistently meet business goals and revenue objectives.
- Lead recruitment and onboarding of agents, brokers, and dealers through the regional team.
- Develop new business opportunities while retaining and nurturing existing channel partners.
- Ensure consistent activation of agents, brokers, and dealers in line with monthly targets.
- Monitor and manage individual and team performance for activation and premium generation.
- Achieve overall Gross Written Premium (GWP) targets and maintain profitability.
- Maintain Combined Operating Ratio (COR) within budgeted levels by optimizing loss ratios and acquisition costs.
- Ensure full compliance with IRDAI regulations,



especially regarding licensing and commission payments.
- Lead and mentor a team of Relationship Managers across channels to enhance productivity and engagement.
- Conduct regular training sessions to build product and process knowledge across the team.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance business outcomes.
- Explore recent business avenues through networking, lead generation, and market intelligence.
- Resolve underwriting discrepancies and ensure timely issuance of policies at the branch level
- Analyze and address policy-related rejections and operational challenges to ensure smooth service delivery.

Prior work experience:

- 8–12 years of experience in General Insurance, with exposure to multiple distribution channels
- GI experience in all retail line of Business such as Agency, motor dealer and retail broking
