Job Responsibilities

- Assist in purchase activities and material ordering based on production requirements.
- Coordinate with Team Leaders, Production, Stores and Design teams for material requirements.
- Prepare and maintain Purchase Orders (PO) and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Maintain and update BOM (Bill of Materials) and ensure required materials are available as per BOM.
- Check material prices, quotations and supplier rates before placing orders.
- Coordinate with dealers/vendors for quotation collection and price comparison.
- Negotiate with suppliers/dealers to obtain better prices and reduce material costs.
- Follow up with vendors regarding order status, delivery schedules and pending materials.
- Maintain purchase records, supplier details, quotations, POs and material-related documents.
- Coordinate with Stores for material receipt and shortage/damage issues.
- Support vendor development and identify alternative suppliers when required.




- Ensure materials are purchased as per required quantity, quality, specification and delivery schedule.
- Maintain proper purchase documentation and reports in Excel/ERP/Tally.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of purchase and procurement activities.
- Knowledge of BOM and material requirements.
- Good negotiation and vendor coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/Tally.
- Valuable communication and follow-up skills.
- Manufacturing/engineering industry experience or exposure is preferred.

Qualification

Diploma / B.E / B.Tech / B.Com or equivalent.

Preferred: Candidates who have knowledge of industrial/manufacturing materials, vendor coordination, price checking and purchase order processing.
