Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble special purpose machines, automation systems, and fixtures as per drawings.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
- Perform machine alignment, leveling, and precision fitting.
- Assemble components such as linear guides, ball screws, gearboxes, motors, pneumatics, and sensors.
- Support machine trials, debugging, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with design and electrical teams to resolve assembly issues.
- Maintain assembly quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning, if required.
- Daily Meeting With the Assembly Team and handling
- Validating the design, Machine Proving activity
- Supporting Customers through online/offline
- Planning Manpower for the projects with the Manager
- Update Projects Status to the Manager at the end of the Attending a design review meeting & explain to the team
- Coach the team and need to Improve the team skills
- Inspection of the machine , sub – assembly & all points regarding (Elmech Standard)
- Studying about the projects & Also need to Convey to the concern Team
- Need to collect the Materials needed from the Stores as per the BOM Must take the responsibilities of the materials
- Need to maintain 5S & Safety Regulations in the working Area
- Responsible for all assembly & Commissioning activities
- Attend a product selection meeting & Share Valuable Suggestions
- Perform fixture assembly and machine assembly as per technical requirements.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components as per drawings and specifications.
- Read and understand assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
- Perform machine fitting, alignment, and testing activities.
- Identify and report assembly issues to the Management
- Ensure quality standards and safety procedures are followed.
- Support machine installation and commissioning when required.
- Maintain assembly tools and equipment.
Requirements:
For Assembly Engineer:
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1 – 5 years of experience in automation / SPM machine assembly.
- Good understanding of machine elements, tolerances, and fits.
- Ability to read and understand 2D mechanical drawings.
For Assembly Technician:
- ITI (Fitter / Mechanic / Machine Tool) or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, and alignment.
- Knowledge of basic tools, measuring instruments, and safety practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in pneumatics and basic hydraulics.
- Exposure to robot-based automation systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn and work in a quick-paced project environment.
