Fabric In-Charge – Job Description

Job Title: Fabric In-Charge
Department: Fabric
Reporting To: Fabric Manager

Job Purpose

Responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling fabric-related production activities to ensure quality, productivity, timely delivery, manpower utilization and safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and allocate daily fabric/fabrication production activities.
- Supervise workers and ensure proper manpower utilization.
- Monitor production targets, output, efficiency, and rejection levels.
- Ensure materials, fabric, trims, tools, and machinery are available for production.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Maintenance, PPC, and Purchase teams.
- Ensure production follows approved specifications, drawings, samples, and quality standards.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and process issues.
- Monitor fabric/material wastage and implement reduction measures.
- Maintain production records, daily reports, and inventory-related records.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, identification, and movement of fabric/materials.
- Train and guide operators/workers on processes and quality requirements.




- Ensure compliance with company safety, housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Investigate quality issues and take corrective/preventive actions.
- Support production planning and achieve daily/weekly/monthly targets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma/Degree in Textile, Production, Mechanical, or related field preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in fabric/fabrication production.
- Valuable knowledge of production processes and quality control.
- Strong manpower-management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare and maintain production reports.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel/ERP preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
