Job Purpose

To ensure guest rooms and assigned areas are cleaned, maintained, and presented to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, comfort, and guest satisfaction, in accordance with hotel standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned areas as per hotel standards.
- Make beds, replace linen, replenish guest amenities, and ensure proper room presentation.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, clean glass surfaces, and sanitize all required areas.
- Check rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, missing items, and damages before releasing them.
- Report maintenance defects and unusual observations immediately to the Supervisor.
- Follow room-cleaning procedures, cleaning schedules, and departmental SOPs.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment safely and correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards while working in occupied and vacant rooms.
- Respect guest privacy and follow Do Not Disturb and guest-room entry procedures.
- Handle guest belongings with care and immediately report any lost-and-found items.
- Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status, priority rooms, early arrivals, and special requests.
- Assist with turndown service, deep cleaning, spring cleaning, and other housekeeping activities as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping pantries, trolleys, equipment, and storage areas.
- Ensure adequate stock of linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies on the assigned floor.
- Follow hotel grooming, hygiene, safety, and security standards at all times.
- Respond courteously to guest requests and escalate complaints or concerns to the Supervisor.
- Participate in departmental briefings, training programs, and hotel initiatives.




- Support colleagues and other departments whenever required to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or management.

Guest Service Responsibilities

- Maintain a polite, professional, and approachable attitude with guests.
- Acknowledge and respond to guest requests promptly.
- Protect guest privacy and confidentiality.
- Ensure every room reflects the hotel's standards of cleanliness and comfort.
- Create a positive guest experience through attention to detail and personalized service.

Safety & Hygiene Responsibilities

- Follow all hotel safety, fire, hygiene, and chemical-handling procedures.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) wherever required.
- Immediately report accidents, hazards, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions.
- Follow proper procedures for handling sharps, broken glass, chemicals, and other hazardous materials.
- Maintain personal grooming and hygiene as per hotel standards.

Skills & Competencies

- Good knowledge of basic housekeeping and room-cleaning procedures.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valuable time management and ability to complete assigned rooms within the required timeframe.
- Physically fit and comfortable with standing, walking, bending, and lifting as required.
- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualification & Experience

Education: Minimum 10th / 12th standard; Hotel Management or Hospitality qualification preferred.

Experience: 0–2 years of experience in hotel housekeeping/rooms division. Freshers with relevant hospitality training may also be considered.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
