Production Supervisor / Production In-Charge – Garment Manufacturing

About the Role

We are a growing garment manufacturing company specializing in scarves and are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor / Production In-Charge to manage our day-to-day production operations and a team of approximately 20 workers.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in garment manufacturing and be comfortable working directly on the production floor. This is a hands-on role requiring strong production planning, manpower management, quality control and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and supervise daily garment production as per order requirements and delivery timelines.
- Manage and allocate manpower across cutting, stitching, finishing, checking and packing operations.
- Set daily and weekly production targets and monitor actual output against targets.
- Ensure smooth flow of material from cutting to stitching, finishing and packing.
- Monitor worker productivity and identify production bottlenecks.
- Maintain discipline and ensure proper utilization of manpower and machines.
- Conduct regular quality checks and minimize defects, rejections and rework.
- Monitor fabric and material usage and help control wastage.
- Track Work-in-Progress (WIP) and finished goods.
- Coordinate with the Store/Inventory team regarding fabric, trims and other production requirements.
- Ensure production orders are completed on time and according to required quality standards.
- Identify machine, manpower or process-related problems and take corrective action quickly.
- Train and guide workers where required.




- Maintain daily production reports, worker output and basic production records.
- Coordinate with management regarding production status, delays, shortages and quality issues.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization and discipline on the production floor.

Requirements

- 2–4 years of experience in garment manufacturing / apparel production preferred.
- Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant hands-on experience may also apply.
- Practical understanding of cutting, stitching, finishing, checking and packing.
- Experience handling and supervising garment workers/operators.
- Good understanding of production planning and daily target achievement.
- Ability to identify bottlenecks and solve production problems independently.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and production reporting.
- Good communication and manpower-management skills.
- Solid sense of responsibility, discipline and follow-through.
- Comfortable working on the factory floor rather than only in an office.

- Textile products
- Export garments
- Small or medium-sized garment manufacturing units
- Production planning / line balancing
- Quality control
- Fabric and material management

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, disciplined and practical—someone who can independently manage a 20-person production team and ensure that orders are produced on time, at the required quality and with minimum wastage.

Candidates who have only administrative/office-based production-management experience and limited garment-floor experience may not be suitable.

Pay: ₹18,018.81 - ₹24,371.88 per month
