Job Description – CCTV Operator cum Technician

Position Overview

The CCTV Operator cum Technician is responsible for monitoring all CCTV surveillance systems, maintaining security equipment, and ensuring effective functioning of all cameras and related devices across the campus. The role involves both real-time monitoring and technical troubleshooting to support overall safety and security operations.

Key Responsibilities

CCTV Monitoring

· Monitor live CCTV feeds to identify and report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches.

· Maintain vigilance, ensuring continuous surveillance during assigned shifts.

· Record and document incidents as per the school’s security protocols.

· Provide CCTV footage/clips as required for investigations, disciplinary processes, or compliance.

Technical Support & Maintenance

· Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, NVR/DVR systems, and related security equipment.

· Perform regular checks to ensure all cameras, wiring, and equipment are functioning properly.

· Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with vendors for repairs when needed.

· Maintain inventory of CCTV equipment, cables, tools, and spare parts.

· Doing the regular maintenance of CCTV Cameras/Network Switches (Monthly once)

Data & System Management

· Ensure proper functioning of storage systems and timely backup of CCTV recordings.

· Maintain system logs, maintenance records,



and daily monitoring reports and monthly reports.

· Ensure security and confidentiality of all recorded footage.

Coordination & Compliance

· Work closely with the Security Team, Admin Department, and IT Team for system upgrades and issue resolution.

· Follow safety protocols, compliance standards, and campus security guidelines.

· Support installation and maintenance of other electronic surveillance or access-control systems as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

· Diploma/ITI in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Hardware, or related field.

· Proven experience (1–3 years) as a CCTV Operator or CCTV Technician.

· Strong knowledge of CCTV systems (IP & Analog), NVR/DVR, cabling, Network Switches and basic networking.

· Ability to identify and respond to security-related concerns promptly.

· Valuable communication and reporting skills.

· Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and any other Annual events if required.

· Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Skills

· Experience in a school, corporate, or institutional environment.

· Familiarity with access control systems, biometric devices, and surveillance software.

· Basic IT troubleshooting skills (networking, system connectivity, etc.).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,014.94 - ₹30,278.97 per month
