Job Description – Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in managing daily store operations, driving sales, supervising staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Store Manager in managing day-to-day store operations.
- Supervise, guide, and motivate sales staff to achieve individual and store targets.
- Monitor daily sales performance and ensure achievement of assigned targets.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations professionally.
- Ensure excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience.
- Assist in staff scheduling, attendance, and daily task allocation.
- Train recent employees on products, sales techniques, customer service, and store procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment when required.
- Ensure proper product display, visual merchandising, and store presentation.
- Monitor billing, cash handling, and POS operations.
- Ensure store cleanliness, discipline, and safety standards are maintained.
- Support stock receiving, checking, tagging, and arrangement.
- Prepare and maintain daily sales, stock, and operational reports.
- Assist with promotions, offers, launches, and other store activities.
- Coordinate with management and other departments for smooth operations.




- Handle store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Ensure company policies and SOPs are followed by all team members.

Qualification & Experience

- Graduate or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in retail sales/store operations.
- Prior experience as a Senior Sales Executive, Team Leader, or Assistant Store Manager will be an advantage.
