Position Details
- Job Title: QA/QC Mechanical Engineer
- Location: Mumbai - Kandivali
- Experience Required: 3 to 5 Years
- Salary Range: ₹30,000 – ₹50,000 per month
- Industry Preference: STP / WTP / Water Treatment / Infrastructure Projects.

- 20+ Sewage Treatment Plants
- Treating over 2000 MLD of water per day

Key Responsibilities – QA/QC Mechanical Engineer
Quality Assurance & Quality Control
- Implement QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and quality standards at project sites.
- Ensure all mechanical work is executed in compliance with approved quality procedures and project specifications.
- Monitor adherence to client standards, approved methodologies, and applicable codes.
Mechanical Inspection Activities
- Conduct inspections and quality checks for mechanical installation works including piping, equipment erection,
fabrication, and structural supports.
- Verify installation activities as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and method statements.
- Perform stage-wise inspections during fabrication, erection, alignment, and assembly activities.
Fabrication, Piping & Welding Supervision
- Monitor fabrication, welding, piping, and erection activities to ensure quality workmanship.
- Verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and welding consumables.
- Ensure piping installations, joints, supports, and alignments meet project quality requirements.
- Coordinate NDT activities such as radiography, dye penetrant testing, ultrasonic testing, and visual inspections wherever applicable.
Equipment Installation & Alignment
- Inspect installation of pumps, blowers, tanks, valves, agitators, clarifiers, and other mechanical equipment.
- Conduct alignment checks, leveling verification, and equipment calibration inspections.
- Ensure proper installation tolerances and mechanical clearances during execution.
Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct hydro testing, pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning inspections.
- Verify testing procedures and ensure compliance with approved test protocols.
- Coordinate with commissioning teams during startup and trial run activities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documents including inspection reports, checklists, test reports, and material inspection records.
- Maintain quality records,
calibration certificates, welding logs, and test documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC progress reports for management and clients.
Material Inspection & Vendor Coordination
- Review material inspection reports, manufacturer test certificates (MTC), and vendor documentation.
- Inspect incoming materials and ensure compliance with approved specifications and standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding quality-related issues.
Coordination & Client Interaction
- Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and third-party inspection agencies for inspections and approvals.
- Attend quality meetings, client inspections, and project review discussions.
- Ensure timely closure of inspection comments and punch points.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions
- Identify non-conformance issues (NCRs) and quality deviations during execution.
- Follow up corrective and preventive actions to ensure quality compliance.
- Support root cause analysis and implementation of improvement measures.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all mechanical activities comply with project safety requirements and quality standards.
- Promote protected working practices during inspection and testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, project procedures, and client requirements.
Project Handover & Final Documentation
- Support preparation of final QA/QC dossiers and handover documentation.
- Ensure all inspection records, test certificates, and as-built documents are properly compiled.
- Assist in project completion, client handover, and close-out activities

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
