TheTamilWallStreet is a fast-growing Tamil-language Instagram and YouTube channel that explains daily US and UK stock market movements — NASDAQ, S&P; 500, and how global markets work — entirely in Tamil. We're one of the few channels doing this, and what sets us apart is production quality: every video is edited to feel interactive and engaging, with professional sound design, motion graphics, and visuals — not just someone talking to a camera.
About the Role
We're looking for a full-time video editor to become the core editing partner for our daily and weekly content. You'll take raw voiceover recordings, AI-generated visual clips, and motion graphics assets, and turn them into polished, fast-paced videos ready to publish across Instagram Reels and YouTube.
What You'll Do
- Edit daily/weekly market-update and educational videos for Instagram Reels and YouTube, keeping pacing tight and retention-focused
- Add accurate English subtitles, plus English-translated captions where needed, using AI captioning/subtitle tools — and proofread them carefully rather than trusting auto-translation blindly, especially around financial terms and numbers
- Sync AI-generated video clips and motion graphics into a cohesive final edit
- Add sound design: transitions, whooshes, chimes, and effects that support the story without feeling gimmicky
- Add subtle zooms, punch-ins, and pacing cuts to keep viewers engaged through the full video
- Design eye-catching, on-brand thumbnails for YouTube uploads
- Maintain a consistent visual style across videos (clean, up-to-date, professional — not flashy or meme-style)
- Turn around edits quickly to support a near-daily posting schedule
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of video editing experience, ideally with Reels/Shorts or other short-form social content. Beginners will also be considered. It is compulsory to send sample videos that you've made to

- Comfortable with CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing software
- Experience using AI tools for auto-captions/subtitles and comfortable proofreading and correcting them
- Able to design clean, clickable thumbnails (Canva, Photoshop, or similar)
- Fluent in Tamil (spoken and written) — you'll be working directly with Tamil and Tanglish (Tamil + English) audio
- Strong eye for pacing — understands what keeps someone watching a Reel or Short instead of scrolling past
- Reliable, deadline-driven, and comfortable with a fast turnaround content schedule
- Bonus: interest in stock markets, finance, or business content
