Job Title Decline Curve Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Decline Curve Analyst to support production forecasting and reservoir performance evaluation for oil and gas assets The role involves analyzing historical production data performing decline curve analysis DCA estimating ultimate recovery EUR and delivering reliable production forecasts to support field development planning reserves evaluation and business decisionmaking
The candidate will work closely with reservoir engineers production engineers asset teams and business stakeholders to provide datadriven insights into well and field performance
Key Responsibilities
Production Forecasting Analysis
Perform decline curve analysis DCA for oil gas and water production using industrystandard methodologies
Generate production forecasts at well pad field and asset levels
Calculate Estimated Ultimate Recovery EUR and remaining reserves
Evaluate well performance trends and identify production optimization opportunities
Develop type curves and perform analog well analysis
Conduct sensitivity analyses and uncertainty assessments on production forecasts
Data Management Validation
Extract validate and analyze historical production volumes pressure data and well metadata from enterprise production databases
Identify and resolve data quality issues impacting forecasting accuracy
Maintain forecasting datasets and parameter libraries
Reporting Deliverables
Prepare forecast reports parameter tables and technical documentation
Develop production performance dashboards and visualizations
Present forecasting results and recommendations to engineering and management teams
Support reserves reporting and annual planning activities
Collaboration Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with reservoir production and subsurface teams to align assumptions and methodologies
Support business planning budgeting and asset valuation exercises
Participate in technical reviews and forecasting workshops

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering Reservoir Engineering Chemical Engineering Energy Engineering or a related discipline
3 years of experience in production forecasting reserves evaluation or reservoir engineering analysis
Handson experience with Whitson Aries or equivalent forecasting software
Strong understanding of oil and gas production systems and decline curve methodologies
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production data analysis
