Role Overview

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on CFO to lead the financial operations of a fast-scaling e-commerce company. This is not just a "numbers" role. The CFO will be a key business partner to the CEO, driving profitability, cash flow, fundraising, and scalable systems as we grow 3X-5X over the next 24 months.
In e-commerce, cash conversion cycles, ad spend ROI, inventory, and unit economics are everything. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and can build finance from startup rigor to enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Leadership: Own the company P&L;, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. Drive profitable growth. Develop 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year financial plans aligned with business goals. Partner with CEO on fundraising, M&A;, and strategic initiatives. Present financial performance and forecasts to Board, Investors, and Banks

2. E-commerce Specific Finance: Unit Economics: Own CAC, LTV, Contribution Margin by channel, SKU, and campaign. Kill unprofitable products fast. Cash Flow Management: Optimize working capital. Ad Spend & ROI: Work with Performance Marketing to track MER, ROAS, and payback period. Build budget guardrails. Pricing & Promotions: Model impact of discounts, coupons, COD vs Prepaid on margins3PL & Logistics Costing: Track shipping, warehousing, RTO costs and negotiate better rates

3. FP&A;, Budgeting & Reporting : Build monthly MIS, weekly flash reports, and dashboard for real-time visibility on revenue, burn, and inventory. Lead annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting, and variance analysis. Implement systems for tracking cohort data, return rates, and channel profitability

4. Compliance, Tax & Audit: Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Import-Export, and E-commerce laws. Lead statutory audits, internal audits,



and manage relationships with auditors. Oversee e-way bills, HSN coding, and marketplace TCS/TDS reconciliations

5. Fundraising & Investor Relations: Manage fundraising: Pitch decks, data rooms, due diligence, term sheet negotiation. Manage existing investors and banking relationships. Own debt and credit lines. Drive company valuation and exit readiness

6. Systems, Controls & Team Building: Implement/upgrade ERP, Accounting software, Inventory management, and BI tools. Tally, Zoho, SAP, NetSuite experience preferred. Build strong internal controls to prevent fraud, leakage, and RTO losses. Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.

Must-Have Qualifications

CA/CPA/MBA Finance with 10+ years experience, min 3 years in CFO/Head of Finance role E-commerce/D2C/Marketplace experience is mandatory - You understand gross margin, contribution margin, ad spend, and inventory velocity. Proven track record in fundraising - PE/VC rounds preferred. Strong in Excel, Financial Modeling, and Data Analytics. Experience with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, and ERP tools. Deep understanding of GST, E-commerce taxation, and Indian corporate law

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹4,000,000.00 - ₹7,000,000.00 per year
