Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Service Coordinator to coordinate diesel generator (DG) service and maintenance activities in Chennai. The candidate will coordinate between customers, service engineers, technicians, stores, and management to ensure timely completion of service calls and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate customer complaints, service requests, and breakdown calls.
- Schedule and allocate service calls to technicians/service engineers.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, AMC, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Track daily service calls and ensure timely closure.
- Maintain job cards, service reports, work orders, and customer service records.
- Follow up with technicians regarding site visits and service completion.
- Communicate service schedules and status updates to customers.
- Coordinate spare-parts requirements with the stores team.
- Follow up for service reports, customer approvals, purchase orders, and billing documents.
- Maintain DG service history, AMC details, and pending-call reports.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly service MIS reports.




- Escalate critical breakdowns and delayed service calls to the Service Manager.
- Coordinate emergency breakdown services and ensure quick response.
- Maintain good customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in service coordination or service administration.
- Experience in Diesel Generators / DG Sets / Electrical or Mechanical Equipment is preferred.
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of DG sets, engines, alternators, control panels, and maintenance.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, email, and ERP/service software.
- Strong follow-up, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple service calls and work under pressure.
- Candidates with experience in Cummins, Kirloskar, Caterpillar, Perkins, Mahindra Powerol, MTU, or similar DG brands will have an advantage.

Salary

₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
